A letter from the founder
Thank you for taking the time to learn about Honor Mission Foundation.
Our nation's veterans answered the call to serve with courage and selflessness. Yet for some families, a veteran's final journey is marked not by honor, but by the difficult reality of shipping cremated remains through commercial delivery services because they cannot personally retrieve them.
Honor Mission Foundation was created to provide a different path.
Through a nationwide network of qualified veteran organizations and dedicated volunteers, we coordinate the dignified transport of the cremated remains of verified U.S. military veterans and active-duty service members to their families or final resting place.
Every mission reflects our belief that a veteran's final journey deserves the same respect they earned through their service.
Your support makes these missions possible.
Thank you for standing with us as we ensure that honor continues beyond military service.
Sincerely,Jay ThompsonFounder and President, Honor Mission Foundation
Our mission
Honor Mission Foundation exists to coordinate the dignified transport of the cremated remains of verified U.S. military veterans and active-duty service members to their families or final resting place through a nationwide network of qualified veteran organizations.
Our mission is to provide families with a respectful, veteran-led alternative to shipping cremated remains through commercial delivery services.
The need
Families sometimes face significant financial, logistical, or geographic challenges when arranging the return of a veteran's cremated remains.
Commercial parcel shipping may be the only practical option available, but many families would prefer a more personal and dignified alternative.
Honor Mission Foundation helps bridge that gap by coordinating respectful, mission-focused transportation carried out by trained volunteers and partnering veteran organizations.
Why your gift matters
Every dollar supports the Foundation's charitable mission and helps ensure that veterans are honored throughout their final journey.
