Our mission
Honor Mission Foundation exists to coordinate the dignified transport of the cremated remains of verified U.S. military veterans and active-duty service members to their families or final resting place through a nationwide network of qualified veteran organizations.
Our mission is to provide families with a respectful, veteran-led alternative to shipping cremated remains through commercial delivery services, ensuring no veteran's final journey is reduced to a package shipment.
Whether a veteran served in peace or in war, they earned the right to be remembered with gratitude. Honor Mission coordinates a personal escort for their cremated remains rather than letting them be handled as ordinary freight.
Vision
Honor Mission is building a national network that can offer dignified final-journey accompaniment by fellow veterans and qualified volunteers, subject to family authorization, professional coordination, applicable rules, and volunteer availability.
Founders' promise
A veteran's final journey is not simply transportation. It is one last act of gratitude from a grateful nation.
That promise was made on the side of a road in East Texas, when a group of riders learned a Marine was about to be mailed home to his daughter. They paid for his cremation themselves and carried him instead.

The scale of the need
About 60 veterans every day.
Honor Mission Foundation estimates that roughly 22,000 veterans' cremated remains may be transported through the U.S. mail each year. No federal agency tracks this directly, so we published our full working, sources, and the limits of the estimate.
